At the end of 2003 a small business enterprise, Brainwave Projects 729cc, was started and is still in operation providing specialist computer services. Focus of Brainwave’s services are targeted at supplying top-end specification computing systems, both hardware and software as well as after-sales service. For selected return customers low-end PC’s are supplied as part of a long-term, sustainable business relationship. The services vary but the amount of time spent is kept to a minimum to avoid interference with work and studies.

During 2006 and 2007 embedded software was developed for specialized data acquisition, transmission and processing for use in several mines. The software was embedded onto external hardware which in turn communicated with a base system. That system graphically displayed the results and triggered external interfaces based upon the readings acquired.

The software was embedded onto external hardware which in turn communicated with a base system. That system graphically displayed the results and triggered external interfaces based upon the readings acquired. This system was unique because full error checking and control was necessary and needed to work in very challenging environments.
